Giving...

Giving.. my mother says is more fulfilling than recieving - she says 'bhagwaan deney wala banay, leney wala nahi' (translated it means that May God instill in us the giving spirit - and not make us the 'taker') the amount of satisfaction one feels while giving is so much more than when one recieves.

And it goes for our emotions, love, material things...

Its all in the mind..

Instant gratification, insta pleasure and stimulants go hand in hand. Drugs, smoking, drinking..etc...are all outside stimulation which I think we are strong enough to say no to if we want. People argue that these are harmless enough, but I abhor these for the evil it produces in a man when drunk or under the influence of drugs and immidiately the world turns into an unsafe place..for kids..women.

I dont think we need any kind of outside stimulation - which only make a person weak, dependant..The best is within. And believe me we can feel the subliminal ecstasy without the outside stimulation. Push that imagination, go past those pre-concieved boundaries in the mind..explore..its all in the mind and the best is yet to come.

  3. 'The best is yet to come'. I agree with you. I've seen the rot set in with people who are too weak to resist, had to deal with them first hand in some cases and it makes me sick.

  4. YOU--are so WISE!!! Plus the Bodies natural Chemicals, (endorphins, adrenalin, pheromones), etc...are all we need for a fulfilling life!

They are x times more potent than external stimuli---and Giving--is a great feeling, emotion!

    Awesome Post!

    Hugs,

  7. this is very wise and very true. i tell clients and myself that excessive drugs, drink, sex, gambling, dependency cannot match the world within.

easier said than done,of course, but i like how simply you've laid it out.

  8. I found your blog via Brian's and after always loving your comments I finally took the courage to say hi :-)
Your mom is a very wise lady. I think every one who has done something freely without asking anything in return for someone else could him/herself experience that the joy of it indeed exceed the joy of receiving.
I hear you on the drugs/stimulants/alcoohol ... yes we should learn to live without! have a lovely day!
